Bridal sessions are so much fun…. And, even more fun when I really get the chance to go behind the scenes and plan out the sessions. (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!) With the gorgeous weather we had for “two” days straight here in Seattle, I asked if Mina would model for me with a few of the ideas I had been envisioning. So off we went…. We started out at the University of Washington campus. The architecture is breathtaking; just like my bride. We had so much fun… Mina is just as beautiful inside as she is outside. We had tons of laughs in this session that we extended it to another day for her “trash your dress” session, which will be shared here soon as Part II. (Check back soon, and sign up for my fan page to see when the shots go live)
Now a little bit about my Bride:
Mina Hooshangi, was born and raised in Kirkland, WA, and has yet to move out of the state. (Finally another true Washington girl like moa!) At the age of 21, she completed a BA in Community Psychology at the University of WA-Bothell, and is looking forward to continuing with Social and Behavioral Psychology into Graduate School. She is passionate about her job at UWB, working in the Office of Student Life as a Student Assistant. She works with her colleagues to make their campus a fun place to be and is the “go-to” person for any questions that may arise. Music is her hobby of choice, and she is looking forward to being the next big “YouTube star!” So keep your eyes open 🙂 She loves to model, and was so much fun to work with the entire day!
Also, for all of my brides I want to point you to one of my favorite artists! Stephanie Albao owner of “Vintage Vibe,” is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and has stunning hair pieces she designs and sells on ETSY. I custom ordered this gorgeous piece for Mina. I’m telling you….this is a shop you must check out! Her work is unbelievable!!! You can also find her fan page on FB here!
Extra special thanks to you Mina for taking time out to pose with my puppy “Sunshine”! I originally had directed Mina to sit on the grass up against a cherry blossom tree; her dress was truly a princess dress, and so fluffy. Well my puppy Sunshine is really not a puppy but she will be that to me forever. Sunshine is actually 10 years old, but for all these years thinking she was truly my princess, she wanted nothing to do with all that fluff and noises that dress was making when I tried to set her on Mina’s lap. So it was almost a perfect day… ha ha….
And, a few of my favorites:
Thank you again Mina! You are truly a princess my dear. I loved every minute of your shoot and I am very excited to share more from your 2nd shoot soon!
Cheers, Rachelle
P.S. And a extra shout out to Karlie and Donna for assisting me with this shoot!
